In January 2006, Melbourne will once again be the centre of all the
poker action. The 'Australian Poker Championship' will be the biggest
event in the southern hemisphere and is set to attract poker talent from
all over the globe. The Australian Poker Championship has firmly
established Crown Casino as a premier Poker championship venue. The 2005
main event pool was in excess of USD$2,000,000, one of only a small
number of casinos outside the USA to generate a seven figure prize pool.
Next year looks set to be even bigger with another first prize of
